Glyphz
2021
Language doesn`t work. Words are precious vessels. Letters are divine matter.
Glyphz is a JavaScript program that uses SVG.js to combine different writing systems and thus create non-existent graphemes and alphabets that can be downloaded and later modified and used.
In mid-2021, I created a first batch of glyphs using Latin, Arabic, Thai, Lao, Khmer, Hiragana, Katakana, CJK, and Cham writing systems and printed in Rat Trap a two-ink silkscreen piece inspired by the calligraphy works of Wang Xizhi.
Aditionally, my grandmother made a macramé weaving that was added as a last detail.
